Are puppies for sale?

No.

Wienerfest Home County Festival 2024 supports responsible breeders.

We encourage people who are looking to buy a puppy to find a responsible breeder and to take the time to research their options. Purchasing a puppy is a decision that must be carefully considered.

Do I need to leash my dog?

Yes. All dogs must be leashed...but no flexi leashes.

It's a high-energy day, and we would not want your dog to get lost in the crowds.

Also, if your dog is fearful and has a fight reflex, territorial, possessive, or aggressive, we ask that you fit them with a muzzle for everyone's safety. Or just come by yourself and feel the doxie love!

My dog might get aggressive. Can I come?

If you feel your dog might get aggressive, you might consider coming alone.

There will be lots of loud sounds, dogs, and high energy. This probably isn't the best environment for your dog, and we want everyone to enjoy the day.

And if you come without your doxie, you still get to feel the doxie love and maybe buy your furry friend a treat or a toy from the Marketplace!

What happens if it rains?

Rain or shine, Wienerfest 2024 goes on!

Along with our outdoor area, the market is indoors, as are some of the games.

How are the funds raised during the event help animals?

For the past 24 years, all proceeds, after facility costs, licenses, and other costs, have gone to charities selected by the Executive Committee with a proven track record of helping all animals! Not just dachshunds.

All work is done by volunteers who provide their time, without receiving or expecting remuneration.

My pet is not a dachshund. Can we attend?

Absolutely!

All four-legged (or three in some cases) are welcome and are considered Dachshunds For The Day.

Bring your Great Dane, your Pomerican. All dogs are welcome.

And well mannered people too!
